Can This Spoon Save The World?

Indian scientist Narayana Peesapaty thinks it can.

He set out to create the world’s first edible spoon a decade ago, and all of his hard work is now paying off. Today, his small factory operation in India is producing tens of thousands of them in three flavors: plain, savory, & sweet.

His company, Bakeys Foods, is now producing orders requested from around the globe. So what’s Narayana’s purpose for this tasty idea? He hopes it can help shrink India’s landfills, reduce chemical intake from plastic, and change the way India grows its food.
